About me

I am a Registered Acupuncturist, having completed my formal education in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture in Burnaby, B.C at the Vancouver Career College (formerly PCU). I have a prior B.Sc. in Health Science from UBC and a B.Tech in Nautical Sciences from CBU - this led me to work as a Navigational Officer for the Canadian Coast Guard for a number of years.

Outside of academics, I fell in love with rock climbing, yoga and aerial silks, these became my flow state and encouraged a deeper understanding and fascination of the body. World travel followed suit, including a yoga teacher training, discovering traditional practices of pranayama and sitting Vipassana meditations. My adventure out into the world,  took me back to an exploration inward. From ere I found myself seeking something more in alignment to my natural gifts and genuine curiosities. So steering back to the study of health, I landed on the holistic care of TCM.

While initially captivated by the cohesive nature of TCM, I found myself seeking a tangible 'why?' to bridge the gap find between East and West - I found it through the fascial planes and neurochemical response, a fascination that drives my continued study. And yet through clinical practice, yet another layer emerged: the energetic experience of co-regulation. Connecting to people in that space is what truly fills my cup.

I am deeply passionate about this practice and am profoundly grateful to have the opportunity to hear and serve the people in our beautiful community.

I enjoy working with a wide range of concerns including musculoskeletal pain, myofascial dysfunction, hormonal and digestive issues, and stress related conditions. I have completed training in concussion care and have a precise scar-mobilization technique to support scar tissue mobility and function -  especially beneficial for  C-Section scars. I  have deep empathy with mothers and lovingly provide thoughtful support through all stages of pregnancy and post-partum recovery.

While I do occasionally still play, perform and teach on the aerial silks, most of my time outside of Acupuncture is devoted to my family, my partner and young son, and tending to the garden.
